Dr. Johann Schomaker

is a lawyer. He advises in the areas of tax and corporate law, with a particular focus on

• family businesses and succession planning
• taxation of corporate groups and partnerships
• M&A, restructuring and private equity
• real estate transactions and structuring of real estate investments
• structuring of cross-border transactions
• tax audits and tax litigation

Dr. Schomaker studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and Fudan University in Shanghai with a focus on tax law. During his studies, he already worked as a research assistant at WIESE LUKAS. He received his doctorate from Bucerius Law School with a thesis on business succession. During his doctoral studies, he worked for Linklaters in Munich and Renzenbrink & Partner in Hamburg. As part of his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg, he spent time at Gleiss Lutz in Hamburg.
